Description
This was a WW2 primary trainer during the war years. The Navy, Marines and Army Aircorp used this aircraft to train men and women to fly America's warplanes.. I can tell you from personal experience this plane is just super to ride in. The passenger / student sits in the forward cockpit. When the motor sputters to life it blows the wind in your face with the smells of oil and a touch of fuel. Your entire body feels the roar of the motor. You're looking out the sides of the plane as you rush down the runway because you can't see over the nose; then the pilot lifts the tail and you can see in front of you. A moment later you're airbourne in a climb and in a few minutes the pilot throttles back to a cruising speed; all of a sudden everything just seems right.
