Artist's Description
I saw a caboose between these tanker cars and thought the entire rail yard was an interesting seen. For those of you that don't know, U.S. trains very rarely have a caboose any more. The end of a train is signified by a black box with a blinking red light on the last rail car. Another sign of 'Times Gone By.'

My name is Gene Ritchhart. I was born and raised in San Diego, Ca. My father was a career Navy man, thus my early years growing up were spent primarily in San Diego. After I graduated from El Cajon High School I joined the Army. While in the army I was the driver of an M113a1 Armored Personnel Carrier.
